CIVIL WAR ERA PERSONAL CORRES. / DILLINGHAM to CHARLIE

CIVIL WAR ERA PERSONAL CORRESPONDANCE / DILLINGHAM TO CHARLIE

A civil war era personal letter from P.L. Dillingham, Jr. in Brooklyn NY to his friend Charlie, dated 24 July, 1861. The letter is an attempt to cheer up the friend after the death of his wife, and mentions Central Park and the Barnums. The document measures 10" x 8", which was then folded to form four "pages." It was folded for mailing, but is otherwise in very good condition, with very light overall wear. Also comes with a document (with matching carbon copy) from the Lincoln Library organziation "translating" the letter.
