LEVERETT SALTONSTALL (1892 - 1979) was an American Republican politician who served as Governor of Massachusetts (1939–1945) and as a United States Senator (1945–1967).

A letter dated 3-18-39 (while in office) on Commonwealth of Massachusetts stationary, to one J.A. Blomgren, responding to a request for a favorite quotation. The page measures 7.25" x 10.5"; it was folded for mailing, but is otherwise in very good condition.
